It’s time I make it clear where I stand in the world of hair services. I want my salon suite to be a safe space for all humans who are looking to have a hairstyle that exudes their personality every day. The world is increasingly becoming a place where people feel like they need to hide who they are. I hope my salon suite can be a place of comfort for you. I have partnered with Hair Has No Gender to continue my education in the most inclusive way possible. I’m so grateful for this resource, especially as a stylist who went to cosmetology school when they only taught us “men’s” haircuts and “women’s” haircuts. Now, I hope to be an advocate for people looking for a human first approach to getting a hairstyle that just feels like YOU.
I have also been using Cult + King products for a few years now, and they’re another company that I feel really good about having in my business. Their skin & hair products are free from all the junk that so many large salon quality brands are made with now. It makes me so happy to see them doing well as an Amazon free company, and as they navigate sustainable packaging, toxin free, and gender free product development.
I think mental health has always been important, but it has become a need more than a desire. Innersense is another brand that I use in the salon for that reason, and I believe in their products wholeheartedly. They’re 100% carbon neutral, plastic neutral, and active members of 1% for the planet. They make products for all hair types and textures, and they focus greatly on mental health and self love.
Anyways, if you’re open to getting your hair styled with me, you can find my online schedule here. I’m happy to be a stylist you can feel safe with. As always, if I don’t offer the services you’re looking for, then I will help you find someone who specializes in that style. I’m not perfect, but always working on being better. Let me know if there’s anything I can do to improve! You can email me here. Thanks for being here, I’m grateful that you took the time to read this!
With love,
Jessie
